20 Colleges with Acceptance Rates Over 99%

Getting into college has become really competitive – or has it? According to U.S. News and World Report, there are dozens of colleges with high acceptance rates and a number of top colleges with a 100 percent acceptance rate. So the next time you are thinking, “I’m never going to college because I can’t get in,” here are more than a dozen reasons why that statement is incorrect.

Boston Architectural College 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

This private higher learning institution has a rolling admissions program that accepts around 600 undergraduates per year. Of the students enrolled, 69 percent are male and 31 percent are female. The college only offers bachelor’s degrees in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Design Studies.

Cambridge College 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

A Bostonian coed, private institution with rolling admissions, Cambridge College enrolls 1,293 students. The school works on a trimester system and also only offers bachelor’s degrees that include education, psychology, and healthcare.

Cameron University 
Acceptance Rate: 99.7%

This public institution has an enrollment of 5,860, and has a rolling admissions process. Cameron University offers both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The application fee is $15 and tuition is typically $4,590 for in-state students and $11,198 for out-of-state students. Psychology, corrections and criminal justice, and elementary education and teaching are among the most popular majors. 

CUNY – College of Staten Island 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

With an undergraduate enrollment of 12,829 students through an open enrollment system, the application fee for CUNY is $65. The public institution offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in virtually every subject type at its urban campus. Some of the most popular majors for undergraduates include English literature, Liberal Arts, Psychology, Social Sciences, and Business.

Granite State College 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

As a public college with rolling admissions, the school currently has an enrollment of 1,590 undergraduate students. The in-state tuition is $6,723. The females outnumber the males at this school with 71 percent female enrollees and 29 percent male enrollees. Early Childhood Education and Behavioral Sciences are among the most popular majors at Granite State College. 

University of Maryland, University College 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

A rolling admission for this public institution accepts 25,686 undergraduates. The application fee is a hefty $55. The college’s enrolled students prefer these majors: Business (39 percent), IT (21 percent), Psychology (7 percent), and Homeland Security/Law Enforcement (6 percent). 

Northwestern Oklahoma State University 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

A public institution located in Alva, OK, the rolling admission program accepts 2,176 undergraduates. It has an application fee of $15 and in-state tuition is $4,888. The enrollees are split up at 44 percent male and 56 percent female. Elementary Education, Teaching, and Business Administration lead as the most popular majors at Northwester Oklahoma State University.

South College 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

This proprietary institution in Knoxville, Tenn. Currently has an enrollment of 838 undergraduates, and adheres to a rolling admission process for its students. The student to faculty ratio is 18 to 1 – making it a superb learning environment for students.

St. Catherine College 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

A private institution located in St. Catherine, K.Y., 874 undergraduates are accepted in a rolling admission program. The application fee is $15 while tuition and fees total $17,050. All 59.5 percent male and 40.5 percent female enrollees are part of the Greek system.

Wayne State College 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

This public institution has a rolling admission that accepts 2,938 undergraduates. Located in Wayne, NE, the application fee is $30 with the in-state tuition at $5,318. The top majors at the college include education (22 percent), business (21 percent), and biological and biomedical sciences (7 percent).

Weber State University 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

There is an August 21 deadline for the fall and a $30 application fee. This Utah-based school currently has 23,401 enrollees. Sales (8 percent), Business Administration (7 percent), Education (7 percent), and Medical Radiologic Technology (6 percent) are the most popular majors at Weber State.

University of Pikeville 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

The Pikeville, K.Y. private institution enrolls 1,022 undergraduates. Some of the popular majors among students include education, history, business, biological and biomedical sciences, and others.

University of Texas-Brownsville 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

The University of Texas - Brownsville currently enrolls 14,335 undergraduates and is a public institution. In-state tuition for this co-ed university is $5,352 and out-of-state tuition is $13,490. 

Washburn University 
Acceptance Rate: 100%

The public institution enrolls 6,321 undergraduates each year on its 160 acres of land. Among the most popular majors are Business (26 percent), Healthcare (22 percent), and Criminal Justice (10 percent). A $20 application fee is due August 1 for the fall semester.

Freed-Hardeman University 
Acceptance Rate: 99.9%

This private institution in Henderson, Tenn. has a rolling admissions system that accepts 1,490 undergraduate students. The school offers both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Popular majors include Theology, Biochemical Sciences, Business, and Performing Arts.

Missouri State University
Acceptance Rate: 99.9%

Located in St. Joseph, Mo., this public institution enrolls 5,973 undergraduates. The application fee is $15 and there is a May 1 deadline for the fall semester. The most popular majors at Missouri State include health and physical education, business administration, criminal justice, elementary education, and registered nursing.

University of Houston-Downtown 
Acceptance Rate: 99.8%

The undergraduate enrollment of this public institution in Houston, Texas is 12,746. Applicants to University of Houston must submit a $35 application fee by June 1. Popular majors at the school include psychology, law enforcement, interdisciplinary studies, liberal arts, and business.

Nyack College 
Acceptance Rate: 99.7%

An enrollment of 2,150 undergraduate students and an application fee of $25 make this private institution a great choice. The tuition this New York-based school is $21,500.

Wayland Baptist University 
Acceptance Rate: 99.7%

A rolling admission at this private institution accepts 1,088 undergraduates. A $35 application fee is required for each student who applies to Wayland Baptist. The enrollee population is split evenly for males and females. Business administration, Education, Christian Studies, and Psychology top the list of popular majors at the Plainview, Texas campus.

Metropolitan State University 
Acceptance Rate: 99.5%

The St. Paul, Minn. public posts-econdary institution also has a rolling admission program and accepts 6,969 undergraduate students. The application fee is $20 for this campus, which is sprawled across an urban setting.
